  Proper definition of an "Ambulance chaser"!
  
  Got the details of a house fire from the London Fire Brigade public site which included the road name. Visited the scene, sniffed around and asked neighbours for my telephone number, called me and offered his/his companies' services as a loss adjuster working on behalf of the claimant.
  
  Until quizzed made no declaration about how or why he got in touch with me. I had initially mentioned the insurance company and housing association involved and he made no attempt to clarify until quizzed.
  
  Completely unethical way to approach potential clients and drum up business.
